Today’s Memory Hall building was brought back to its former glory in 1996. The historic restoration involved the adaptive conversion of the 1922 Lebanon High School into affordable senior housing.

The museum features exhibits celebrating Hoosier family lifetimes past in this part of Indiana and especially in Thorntown since its founding in 1830.

Thorntown Library Fountain

Known as Helen at the Well, this fountain stands at the west entrance of the Thorntown Public Library and is a replica of the original fountain that graced Main and Market Streets from 1890 to 1944.
