It’s that Festival time of year in Boone County!

The next few weeks are packed with things to do, events to celebrate, festivals for the whole family and so much more – right here in the heart of it all – Boone County.

August has a fun calendar of events. Hickory Hall Polo continues to host matches every Friday night. Beer lovers have two big parties in August with the Whitestown Brew Fest and Lebanon’s Augtoberfest. The 40th annual traditional Pow Wow returns to the Boone 4H Fairgrounds. The Battle of the BBQ cooks up in Lebanon’s Memorial Park.

September begins with the 3-day Zionsville Lions’ Fall Festival and the new to Boone County Hoosier Hardwood Festival. The Colonial Market Days & Encampment returns to Lebanon’s Abner Longley Park while the Back to the Fifties Festival classic car show happens at the 4H Fairgrounds. A full weekend of family fun closes the month at the Thorntown Festival of the Falling Leaves.

Summer Fun in Boone County

During Summer 2022, Boone County is host to a variety of festivals, events and live music concerts for you to come and enjoy.

Live music you can attend for Free happens all over with Whitestown’s Summer Concert series beginning June 3rd with concerts by area bands scheduled every Friday night. The Zionsville Cultural District hosts concerts in Lion’s Park every Wednesday at 7pm in June & July. Lebanon’s Summerfest is Saturday/Sunday, June 4 & 5 on Town Square.

Hickory Hall Polo Club in Whitestown has polo matches every Friday, starting on June 10th – with all proceeds going to various area charities. Definitely worth the trip to see the “Sport of Kings” up close.

Shalom House in Lebanon hosts their annual Garden Tour on June 18th, followed by the Zionsville Garden Tour, hosted by the Sullivan-Munce Center. Whitestown, Zionsville and Lebanon also have Farmer’s Markets every week.

Zionsville welcomed the North High Brewing Company to 75 Main Street in May with plenty of outdoor seating, good food and, of course, an impressive menu of craft beers.

July is the month for the Boone 4H Fair, July 16 – 22 and the always fun Zionsville Street Dance happens earlier this year on July 30th. You’re invited to bring the family and have fun this Summer – right here in the Heart of It All – in Boone County.

Boone County events are happening all over the county these next months – with Whitestown’s popular Viking Fest thrilling the crowd with reenactments, a Viking village and lots of swarthy looking men in furs and armor.

You’ll find the very best in antiques and collectibles at the Boone County Treasure Hunt. First Saturday in May is the annual Brick Street Market welcoming shoppers to dozens of artisan booths on Zionsville’s Main Street!

  

Cheer on the hearty participants in the Indiana High School Rodeo at the 4H Fairgrounds – from roping, to racing and riding, these young men and women show incredible skill in these competitions.

A week later the Indiana Equine Foundation holds their Charity Horse Show with classic English riding on display.
