Boone County Events Summer Update


Lebanon’s annual Augtoberfest, a Bavarian-themed Beer Fest, returns on Saturday, August 15.  Enjoy the city’s beautiful downtown square with friends and family with music from The Ubercool Band (, food from various vendors, Bavarian-themed games like Masskrugstemmen (aka a Beer Stein Holding Competition), or get everyone in your group involved in the Augtoberfest chicken dance. There will also be giveaways and of course, frosty brews!



Whitestown’s Viking Fest returns on August 21 – 23 with Viking-themed reenactors in full attire swinging their weapons, multiple Viking villages, artisans, themed food and more! People can participate in archery and axe throwing. The Vikings sell their wares throughout the whole Fest, crowd favorite being decorated/engraved drinking horns, silver jewelry, leather goods, soaps, artisans crafts, swords, and much more. $5 admission. 2020 will be the 4th year for the Boone Flavor Fest. Come sample scrumptious food from restaurants right here in Boone County along with live music for everyone to enjoy. This is a family-friendly event held on Friday evening, September 11th, 2020, the evening before Whitestown Brew Fest. This event is free to the public.



The Indiana Equine Foundation are hosting the “Foundation Charity Horse Show”  September 18 -20 at the Boone County Fairgrounds. This 3-day event encompasses a Fun Show on Friday Night; Western, Hunter /Jumper, CT Jumping phase, and Speed Shows on Saturday; and ending on Sunday with an English and Dressage shows. These are all OPEN Horse Shows, and anyone can participate. For more information, visit

Charity Polo Events at Hickory Hall Polo Club

For over 20 years the Hickory Hall Polo club has provided a family centered social and sporting venue that helps raise money and awareness to the charities it serves. Come watch the Sport of Kings and enjoy what Polo has to offer the entire family.

Weekend polo events are open to the public. Pack a picnic basket, and enjoy an exciting event. Some guests bring tents and set up elaborate tables covered in champagne and fine cheeses, while others simply sit on their tailgates and drink a refreshing, cold beer.
