Want to get outside and enjoy the seasons? Boone County has plenty of parks and places to visit the great outdoors. Come in early Spring when the flowers are in bloom or visit Boone County outdoors in the Fall when our leaves explode with beautiful foliage all over the land.

Abner Longley Park
Lebanon

This 50-acre community park offers: tennis courts, basketball court,
playground equipment,
football field complex, soccer field, nature trail, softball diamonds,
reservable shelter, picnic areas and a sledding hill. Access through
Beck Street or Hendricks Dr.

Brookshire Arboretum
Lebanon

This 14-acre nature lab is maintained as a nature preserve for
wildlife and vegetation.
Located on S.R. 39 about 1.25 miles south of Middle Jamestown Rd.

Creekside Nature Park
Zionsville

An 18-acre property bordering Eagle Creek used as a canoe launch.
Multi-use trails are currently in the planning stage.

Hot Pond Park

wooden creative play centers, log cabin, basketball complex,
baseball complex, picnic shelters, picnic areas and a 50 meter outdoor pool.

Located on the former railbed & depot site of the Big 4 Line, the park
lies on the Keewasakee Trail and is home to many public programs,
festivals and events.

Lions Park has a beautiful gazebo and two equipped playground areas,
six baseball and four softball diamonds (in season), tennis courts and a sand volleyball court. Walk the Eagle Creek trail, have fun with the kids on the playgrounds or take time out for a picnic lunch.

This 21-acre park is a former railroad right-of-way that runs through Zionsville. An interconnecting pathway through the privately owned property connects to the Rail Trail Park.
